Responsibilities:

Provided consulting to mangement for implementation of Total Quality Control. Designed and implement Statistical Quality Control systems. Implemented Statistical Process Control in applicable areas. Included analysis of current conditions, design of required improvement or test, implementation in production, management and information systems, training, and evaluation. Applied statistical techniques to Experimental Design and Analysis. Taught Analytical Problem Solving and Statistical Process Control to staff, management, and operating personnel.

Responsibilities:

Managed major, technical projects that required the coordination of individuals and departments inside and outside the technical areas of the corporation. Included presentations to and negotiations with all levels of Operations Management through Division Vice President Level as well as Product Management and Finance.

Title: Senior Project Engineer

December 1980 to January, 1984

Responsibilities:

Coordinated the economic justification, selection, design, installation, and start-up of major production machinery. Included economic evaluation, modification, and improvement of existing production and material handling systems. Also, managed the funds appropriated for these projects within the accounting system constraints. Required the direction of the technical activities of other degreed engineers, designers, technicians, and production personnel, to include on-sight supervision and training. Level of project responsibility exceeded $1,000,000.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

Designed components of corrugated box machinery while working with experienced engineers in the new design group. Also, coordinated parts manufacture, assembly, field installation and testing, and operator training of machinery. (Koppers Container Machinery Division became United Container, and remains an original equipment manufacturing company in the corrugating and box conversion industry.)
